Anyone else see the camera van outside City Hospital in Nottm today? It was well disguised.

Firsty you drive past a road maintenace van which is genuinely doing work and has the usual yellow stripes and stuff on it. With cones and that on the road round it.

Then about 20 metres up the road is a scam van desguised as a maintenance van with cones round it.

Very sneaky, and im guess fooled a lot of people. It nearly got me. But luckily a bus slowed down in front.

Yeah i normally go pretty fast down there seeing as it is a dual carriageway. If its there tomoro i will get a piccy.

Are they allowed to have work cones around the van? Or do they have to be police cones?

Its halfway between the ringroad roundabout and the crossroads on Hucknall Road. Just past the second entrance to City Hospital. Opposite a bus stop.

I guess they can stick out cones, after all cones are used to warn of hazards! Barstewards aren't they. Give them a large blast of horn when you go past smile or slow all the traffic down so people get to see them.

That's one of their favourite spots. I pass that place twice a day and it's not uncommon to see the scumbags there. Makes you wonder why the hell they put SPECS cameras all the way up Hucknall Road.

Hucknall Road isn't a dual carriageway. The Ring road is.

Why don't the little Chavs around there bottle the thing?

The bit between the ring road and the road that crosses through hucknall road has two lanes(is that dual carriageway). Outside the City hospital. Although it is a bus lane between 7am and 9am but after that its two lanes.

I've often wondered about the parking on footpaths thing. Isn't it illegal to park on a footpath ?

There is one regularly parks on the path on Ashby Rd in Kegworth - to catch anyone who's just come off the road from the M1 services and down into Kegworth. If you don't have your wits about you you'll have driven 100mts past a 30mph and around a corner straight into their clutches. Easy to do when you've been used to motorway speeds.
