I have filled and sanded a large portion of my TVR (where the sunroof used to be)...

I have it more or less the right shape...but there are around 50 small holes dotted across the surface...about 1mm deep...and a mm across...

If I try and fill them I seem to get more "holes" when I re-sand...

Is there a thin top-filler that I can use to fill in these tiny holes?.....

Or do I just use a filler primer...several times?

You need a stopper.

There are 1k and 2k versions. Entirely personal preference, but we use UPol's TopStop series products when we want 2k, and Lechler's Spat-o-Rapid for 1k. If your pinholes are a millimeter in size, 1k is probably too low a build for you.

(For a slightly easier sanding experience, with gentle rebuilds rather than a genuine pinhole-skim UPol's new 'Fantastic' filler/stopper is a good option.)

If you're getting repeated holes of that size in your filler mix, you may be whipping air bubbles into it when you mix in the hardener (rather than just genuine pinholes in the filler, so named because they are pinprick-sized). Try mixing the two components without any whipping action - just pick them both up off your mixing board with the spreader, smear them down again smoothly and repeat until you have one even colour, don't 'fold' or smush them together. If you trap air, there will be little bubbles waiting for you to sand down to them.
