What's the cost to get an Omega Seamaster serviced? Is it a fixed price? and what exactly do they do when servicing such a watch?

I've only ever had to replace batteries before and have never had to service any of my watches, but I think after 5-6 years of continuous service my Omega might need some tlc smile

I wouldn't have thought it would really need a service after just 5-6 years, I've had mine 9 years, never had it serviced, and it still keeps excellent time.

Reason I ask the question about getting a service done was because I've noticed a 'slight' clouding (and I'm being picky here) under the glass face. Someone on here suggested it would need seeing by a specialist to check all the seals were ok.

Asked in Beaverbrooks (Reading) and they reckon a service by Omega would be circa £250-300. Seems alot to me.

The watch itself, had a new battery fitted by Omega three years ago.

Thanks for the advice anyway smile

Last time I had the battery changed they quoted £250 for a service, so it just had a battery change! Had no problem with clouding on mine though, is the glass 'milking' or is it condensation?

I'm not convinced its condensation.......although this problem did occur the day after I cleaned the watch with some warm soapy water?? I can't understand how that would have caused this to happen, as I've worn the watch in water many times before with no issues.

I want the watch back to how it was (ie, perfect) so I can see my only option is to drop it off with Omega for a service.

Seems like the only solution. Good luck.
