A quick poll re : Nov Monthly Meet & venue

After a bit of a disaster regarding the service and quality of the meals on Sunday at The Pykkerel, both myself and Anya decided that we were not happy to continue using the venue. Anya has therefore done a bit more homework and has come up with www.roseandcrownstanton.co.uk .

We have booked the Christmas meal here (more on this later). Anyway, the main reason for the post is to ask the PHEA regulars the following :

Would you like a monthly meet at the new venue on Sun 23rd Nov (4th Sunday), or miss Nov and go straight for the Christmas meal on Sun 14th Dec ????

Please also bear in mind the we have the Comtec visit on Thurs 4th Dec (evening).

Happy to attend both dates if there is enough support. I know things get a bit hectic during the run up to xmas, and can be difficult sometimes to fit everything in.

Must admit I'm not entirely surprised by the Pykkerel decision. Last year we (Anglian Esprit Group) binned it in favour of the The Dog Inn at Norton after a succession of fairly indifferent meals. Real shame as it's a lovely old pub.

I should be OK for both of them.

The Rose and Crown was the venue of my 1st ever gig in my long haired rock'n'roll days.
It'll be odd to go back now they have turned the venue into a resturant

The Rose and Crown is getting it's reputation back after it's change of ownership. I've heard nothing but good things about it recently.The carvery Has a good reputation. I shall be joining the local plod there for their christmas do in december.
