Of the bits I watched, it was a mix of ads being played with the car static in the arena, and some very awkward/staged 'banter' between JC & Co. They didn't seem as natural or relaxed as they are on the show, but given the situation maybe that's understandable.
There was a spot with four Fiestas decked out in Tron-style neon strips doing endless handbrake turns, accompanied by some 'edgy' dancers with angle grinders and banging oil drums which wore a little thin after five minutes.
They had a 'race' in which they modified three vehicles to make them go faster which again was very awkward and amateur. I half expected a 'He's behind you' panto-style cry at one stage
I don't really know what I was expecting and I appreciate that with the limitations of the arena they were never going to be able to do really impressive/fast stuff, but just seemed a bit unimaginative and formulaic to me. Some might say that that's an accurate interpretation of the show...
I await the post telling me that I missed out on an amazing spectacle towards the end.
