Anyone had anything like this before?

Just appeared one day on the way to work, I've recently had work done by Monkfish, but I'm not sure if the tuning or something has caused the car to want a 30k service?

I can reset the warning myself but any ideas what has caused it?

CLose but no cigar, it's just had a FULL service at 15,000 miles as per the guidlines

What I want to know is why the car is asking for it's 30,000 mile service when it's covered 18,,000 miles?

It was serviced less than 2 weeks ago. I then reset the 15,000 mile service warning. So why the quick turn around and following message.

hmmmmmm

Been posted before, the service intervals are read in km by the computer, ie 18 000 miles = 28 968.192 kilometers.
You'll be needing your 20k anyway soon!

Cheers for that, however it's only covered 2-3k since it's last full oil, filter, plug and lead change.

Bear in mind the service names are 10K, 20K, 30K etc. You may only do 3000 miles a year, but your third service is _known_ as a 30,000 mile service.

i know i can reset it but surely vauxhall should have done it considering its just over a month since it was done!

My 1st and 2nd year sevices where done by a Vauxhall dealer who were Monaro approved and they didnt have a clue how to reset it did it myself on the forecourt each time after being told it couldnt be done till the indicated mileage had been reached,
needless to say my third year service has just been done at Monkfish, well worth the drive and they where cheaper

Bear in mind that you cannot tell the car it has had a service. You can only cancel the display message. So it is possible to do a service and 10 miles later it thinks it needs one, because that is what it has calculated..

Basically its a flawed work of fiction. Just ignore it and drive on!
