I know different people have there own views on this subject, but im just after the facts please. Can the R8 limiter be removed? if so how would you go about it (hypothetically speaking, assuming i would have opportunity, legally of course to reach a speed above 155.)

With some cool tune software

250kmph is around 155mph, thats the stock setting.

155! my ute seems to be limted to around 120pmh

Yeah, might depend on model and year.
Personally I leave mine alone, Id rather have an accident at a speed I can recover from

Thanks for the info...Probably keep it as is at the moment, Charger fitted in about 5 weeks so that will keep me entertained enough. Its just one day im sure I will want to test out Vmax................

Ask the people fitting the charger to move it up, if thats what you want. They will have to change tune anyway, so its like a 10 second job if done at the same time.

i have the same problem with my ss, reaches 120mph then stops!

mine goes off the clock and just keeps on goin it only hits 4th when shes around the 190kph-200kph and when it does its fairly frighting, dont get me wrong i race superbikes but when a ute is doin that speed she aint the most aerodynamic thing on the road i think about 150mph is about as far as i pushed her (in the rain) oh ye in france of course
