Sorry guys I know is has been a very common topic but I just need a little advice.

Basically I have an unused Sparco racesuit that I was given as a gift and as my racing career is now not going to happen due to my medical 'incident' and I also need the cash it is time for it to go.

My plan is to advertise on here for sale and if it doesn't go pop it on flea bay but I just wanted to be sure about something before I pop it on. It has the blue label down the front of the zip, which I'm guessing means that it meets the highest FIA requirements as I have seen this on full F1 drivers suits but on the back of the collar it dates the year of manufacture as 2002. Does it still meet full standards?

The nearest I can find to its spec is this one;
http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDeta...

No more details for now cos otherwise the eds will start hovering about ads in the forum. Breaks my heart that I have to let it go. cry

There is a label on the back of the collar, does it say "FIA 1986 Standard" or "FIA 8856-2000"?

That's OK then, the FIA 1986 will be banned from UK racing from 2010 and are already not allowed in Europe.

Grump! More expenses for the 2009 season - might as well have a new one as there's a chance I may be doing a little on le Continent next year.

I feel a very lurid ponsy Stand21 job coming on....
