Discussion
Not Lotus related but i'm sure you'll agree it's one quick bike!

Looks like it's not the 1st time he's tried it judging by the tyre marks on the road when braking.

The new Kwak 1300 (I think ZX13, I used to have a ZX11 myself) is rated off the factory floor at 202mph stock).
This video has to be a fake, look at how fast the road and things on the side are going passed. The speedo may be in Klicks per hour instead of miles per hour, can't see but that would make the speed only about 125 mph which looks more real.
I used to race superbikes in my younger days and I have been well over 200mph, trust me, things happen A LOT faster than they do in this video.

The speedo is in MPH, you can see the KPH dial on the inside.
Speed is ALWAYS decieving when watched on TV, take an F1 car for example, onboard cameras at 200mph+ do not give ANY impression of speed but anyone who's watched these things trackside will know how fast they really are.
I'm not 100% sure that the video is genuine but if the bike is capable of over 200mph then surely it can be done?

Lets get something straight: A stock Hayabusa might SHOW 220 MPH, but it will not DO 220 MPH.
They are unbelievably fast, they will do sub 10 second quarter miles, and I might even believe that some will actually do a genuine 200 MPH out of the box, but 220 is just optimistic gauges. Look at the video. When the speedo stops at 220, the tach is at 10,000. But then the tach continues to climb to 11,000 with the speedo remaining stationary. If the speedo was accurate, the bike was going over 240, but the speedo just pegged at 220. Or, more likely, the gauges just weren't reading the actual speed.

This is a genuine 199mph and convinced me that the 'busa run was questionable in it's accuracy. What do you think? www.ferrariclub.com/downloads/f40_199.ram
