I'm sure it was Dawn French. She brought one for her other half Lenny Henry as a prezzy.
She wrote a message in the car also for him. I think the car went up in flames or it got crashed.

He was drunk, and IIRC also ruined another Cerb that way. frown

ok then, allegedly he was drunk...

edited to add: Despite attempts to keep it quiet - it was reported in various newspapers at the time, so I am not the first to say it by any means. smile

Judging by the size of French and Henry, perhaps stability caused the crash

Indeed, it was a normal couple that had saved up some money and the object was to find a £20K supercar for the car-mad husband. Ended up choosing the Cerbie over some assorted '80s italian exotica and Pork, and a Chimmie. thumbup Must have been like five years ago, at least.

Yes, I remember this too. It was more than 5 years ago, I've had mine for 4+ years now and the programme was way before then.

Now that you're mentioning it, it was defnitely before the current 'Clarkson/talk show' format as it was Tiff Needell who was presenting and running through the possible purchases with the lady in question (introducing the Chimaera by driving it very sideways biggrin) .
