drivers window opening at speed

has anyone else had this prob, ive got a t350, and when accelerating hard and reaching a high speed the drivers window opens by about an inch, and am unable to close it untill the car has stopped

When you say open, do you mean it drops or the top edge of it moves outwards?

If its the latter, then its an aerodynamic effect caused by a low pressure region generated at the door top which I suspect you could do little about,

It might be your door ECU playing up. I had the drivers door opening whilst moving syndrome. It was found to be a faulty door ECU which had to be sent away to be reconditioned. Problem now solved. The door ECU not only disables the door being opened whilst moving, but also controls the window adjust which makes me think that this could be where your problem lies.

Each door has an ECU which if I'm correct are situated in the drivers footwell. Suggestion: Try swapping the door ECU's over and seeing if the problem occurs with the other window.

T350s (and many orther cars with frameless side windows) have a tendancy for the windows to fly at the top if you either open them at high speed, or have them already open and increase the speed. As you say they will not fully close from this position as they are flying out beyond the roof line. They will adjust. My Old Sagaris did it a few times but after dealer adjustment it was corrected.

My drivers side won't close properly above 50mph, though the near side seems fine. It doesn't open itself, mind - do you have the little plastic wedges at the top of the window frame?

the window drops down by up to an inch, a bit like it does when u open the door, its not popping out so its not that, cheers for the help guys
