Hi,

Does anybody else have one of these cameras? It really is great for what we use it for, but unfotunately there now seems to be dirt on something important somewhere inaccesible, i.e. not on the from of the lens. A dirty mark shows up on the photograph and is visible on the LCD screen but not through the viewfinder if that makes any sense.
Has anyone else had a similar problem, is it a send it back to canon job or can it be cleaned, by someone who knows what they are doing, say jessops?

I spoke to them last week about my D80 being a bit dusty. They said they'd charge £25 handling fee and then the cleaning from Nikon. So it was easier for me to send it to Nikon directly as the clean charge itself was no different.

Is there nothing you can do with a rocket blower thing/lens pen?

due to the g7 not being an slr you cant take the lens off and just clean the sensor like normal. It will have to be taken apart to get to the sensor.
Can you post a pic to show us how bad it is?
