Sagaris info?

Hello.. First off let me say, what a nice site you have here. In Denmark we haven´t got anything like it. My "problem" is that I seriously have fallen in love with the TVR Sagaris. Can anybody help me with some info about it, different models (engine sizes), dealerships, prices and so on??

Generally speaking, the cars were built between 2005 and 2006. They all share the same 4.0 straight 6 engine which produces around 380-390 bhp (despite what the manufacturer stated when the cars were new). Changes were made during 2006 that some enthusiasts thought softened the car (seats and reduced bore exhaust systems).

Performance wise, the cars vary - due mainly to varied rear final drive ratio fittment form new. Cars should come with 3,73 diff, some later cars are fitted with 3,91 but this was never a factory option. Useful options are Air conditioning, although some owners prefer without, and Close Ratio gearbox.

Prices vary with mileage and condition. There is currently a 45,000 mile car for sale for 26K GBP and lower mileage top condition cars are advertised at up to 45,000GBP. Only 2 Left hand Drive cars have been built I understand (maybe a problem when trying to justify such a purchase with when the Danish taxes are added).


There are some acident repaired cars out there that are not honestly advertised that may appear to be a good price for mileage and condition so it is very much buyer beware. Only IRO of 125-130 cars were built and 20+ have suffered serious accident damage (though I dont understand why. They are not a difficult car to drive quickly and give good driver feedback when the limit of grip is near).

Look in the classified section on here and you will find a good selection (including some of the accident repaired cars of which I wrote).

After 3 1/2 years my car is for sale (3.91 diff and CR box) the car is unmarked inside and out, better than it left the factory and has not been accident repaired - not even scuffed wheel!!

THANK you very very much for this nice reply. I get off 20% cheapere in taxes if I import a right hand drive car, and I don´t care if it is a left or right hand drive car. I just want a TVR!! I will take a look around after the right Sagaris, if it is yours, I will let you know
