A right result alright. Sorry for Massa though. Although I think overall and looking at all the penalties dished out, or not, Hamilton deserved to win it.

Just goes to show that red is clearly not the fastest colour! L.o.l.

Great to see that it spite of all the trials and tribulations that Hamilton won. Sorry for Massa, but their cheers was premature - the show ain't over till the fat lady sings! It's never over until the very end (but he did just cut it a bit fine!)

The last few laps were very tense.

Let's hope the FIA do not pull anything - best result as stands.

Why change the thread title guys?

There's nothing spoiler about it at all - it's plastered all over every news channel & website going for goodness sake!

Sorry but there was simply no need - let's celebrate it instead of pussyfooting about desperately afraid to ever so slightly offend by releasing a now old result a bit early for those that are probably not that interested in the first place.

Well nothing to add to this thread apart from I am so chuffed for Hamilton.

Massa must be gutted and was probably told he had won it only to be told ten seconds later he hadn't.
Best race for maybe 2 years?

I would say best ending, as the race itself wasn't that great. But Spa this year was also an amazing finish too.

I bet Glock got a good pay out for slowing down that much on the last 2 corners
I have watched the last 2 corners a few time and you could see Glock wasnt even trying to put the power down
What a fix!

you watched the same race as the rest of us? Glocks back end squirmed all over the show. Shame ferrari cant find a political way to gain points this time

The only odd thing is that there were three drivers who did not change tyres to wets, the two Toyotas and Kubica in the BMW. The two Toyotas last laps were about 1 min 44, but Kubica on the same tyres did a 1min 26. That is a big difference which could be explained by them going off track which we didn't see or is Vettel that much better in marginal conditions, or something else???

However, I am glad that Lewis won it, it would have been a shame if Massa had won and it had been tainted with all of the penalties furore at Spa and Japan (ref Bourdais).

I could slow MY car down by squirming it all over the show too!

I said to the "mrs" shortly before Glock's "issues", "I bet that is one expensive phone call Maclaren are going to have to make to toyota...." nonoshoutdriving
And what do ya know!

Shamelessly stolen from the mamouth thread in General Motorsport...

F1 Team: £350m

Corporate Hospitality Suite: £250K

42" Plasma: £1150

Watching a bunch of cheating Italians celebrate prematurely: Priceless.

if you actually watch the moments after Hamilton passes Glock one of the back markers also goes flying past unlapping himself while the back end of Glocks car is twitching from side to side under braking. If anyone was making phone calls I'd suggest that Ferrari would be the ones most likely to be offering Torro Rosso some bonuses if Vettel got past Hamilton at the end of the race, after all they do use the Ferrari engines. Toyota would have nothing to gain from helping McLaren. Had it been Force India who its suggested will be using Mercedes engines next year then fair enough it would have looked dodgy. Best man won at the end of the day, after being pipped at the post by some stupid team and driver decisions in last year's championship it would have been a real injustice had Hamilton lost it this year because it rained 4 laps before the end of the race. He'd done exactly what he needed to for the full race, driving sensibly, safely and nursing the car home without putting it under stress. Massa drove the perfect race on the day but it was always going to be very difficult for him. Lets hope next season is better and the BBC provide us with at least the same level of coverage without the bloody annoying ad breaks every time theres a lull in the action.

Sure it had nowt to do with the teams.
After all it`s Mr Ecclestones train set.
(We would have lost interest in Hamilton if he didn`t win this year.)

THE SHOW MUST GO ON.
