What a very frustrating two days, this weekend has been!
having painted the underneath of the rear clip I attempted to install the rear harness, First problem, wiring details that came with the looms contradicts the information on the build CD, item numbers don't match, cable colours are different and to cap it all cannot find any details as to which lights go where? (is it, from the left indicator /fog light , tail light/ brake light, tail light/ brake light, tail light/ brake light, tail light/ brake light, indicator /fog light?)
So, gave up on that and turned my attention to installing the engine in the chassis, Second problem, Handbrake cables, installed as per instructions but they foul the bottom of the engine!
Not a good weekend! me thinks a call to the factory may be in order!

Hey David,
I feel your frustration. Hold off on the call to the factory. Take a step back, think about what needs to be done and take it one step at a time with the wiring and the running of all lines, cables and parts in the engine compartment. I know it can be frustrating, but take your time, talk to your buddies and get ideas/suggestions and go at it. Then one day, when its all done, you'll take it to the track or a car show and some guy will come over and fall over with compliments like happened to me today. I was out at Willow Springs Raceway. Later I found out that "guy" owns 3 Ferrari dealerships in Southern California. What a great feeling to know I did the job right. That means that at the step you're at now, I took my time and thought it through before slapping it all together.
Good luck!
Paul

David: Had similar problems with wiring. Have you gone to the last chapter in the C.D. under inspections there is a wiring list that might make your job a whole lot esier. I agree with Pauls comments one of the things that will make your build look great is time and attention to detail on the wires pipes and assorted stuff that needs to be installed in the car. Take your time think about were all that stuff needs to run, you'll be happy at the end if you do. Good luck. Lee

See the pictures in this thread http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... for pictures of the new LED lights, and where they go on the car.
I have just finished fitting mine - I too, found slightly different wiring colours - there is one wire left over from the fog-light and one left over from the reversing light - I made some notes but they are at home - I will PM you this evening and tell you what I have connected up.
Regards
Kelvin
