Quick query.... Does the 2.0 WRX from approx 2003 to 2005 have a computer in it? ie to tell the mpg?
Im thinking of moving from my Vectra to an Imprezza soon and just wondering if they have this.
Thanks

No it doesn't.
If you're interested in decent mpg don't buy a WRX. 20-25mpg at best. wink

I dont care about how much mpg I get.. Ive just got used to having the computer in my vectra telling lots of useless information!
Am used to low mpg having driving my 3.2 gsi vectra for a year!

Fair enough, in which case even without the computer you'll love the WRX!! biggrin

Anyway.....why do you want to keep staring at your dashboard for....Keep your eyes on the road!! tongue out

Nope they don't have a display other than the temperature. Going from a vectra to a WRX will be a revelation, you won't care about your average speed/MPG etc.

I would second that. But for extra "smiles per hour" bypass the wrx and go straight for the STI. Just an awesome car, and prices ATM are incredible, heres an example....

Nope, they just moved it to the left stick. Got to love that feature wink

I really like my 04 WRX. Lots of reviewers rated the PPP'd version higher than the STI for a daily drive too.

My 03 WRX with PPP regularly returns 30mpg and that's not driving like a vicar.

The lowest I've had is 25, that is with lots of urban work though.

Anyway Aruck, what sort are you looking for!?? Mine could be available....

You sir, must try harder! My 05 WRX has averaged 26.5 mpg in the 8.500 miles I've done in it. Of course, it could just be that I'm a poor driver...

Have you noticed an increase in economy with PPP?

Mine has had PPP on since I've had it so can't really say

I believe it has higher torque lower down the revs so you can effectively change up sooner when tootling, which may help with mpg....

Most of my driving is empty B-roads, if I had a city commute I imagine it would be mid 20's. On a very sensible motorway run 34mpg is easy!

My 04 WRX averages about 22MPG, non PPP either. I do mainly short trips though, 6 miles to work.
