New compact camera replacement
Discussion
Unfortunately on her way back from visiting her home, my girlfriends suitcase was broken into and her camera was stolen....
Apart from being very upset, we should hopefully get the insurance money back for the camera which means we're in the market for a new one.
It should cost no more than €300 (as that's what we should more or less get from the insurance), and be small, compact and take great photos easily and good quality movies plus have IS and have a good night mode
I've always been a Canon man having a 40D with a variety of lenses and accessories, and the last camera was a Canon IXUS 65, however brand is not an issue although Canon have traditionally had excellent compact cameras.
Any suggestions or places for good reviews? DPReview seems to be lacking with this......

Canon Powershot G9. You should be able to pick one up within budget and you'll find it pretty hard to beat.
I would personally choose one of these but it's too big! I'm looking for something that will fit snugly inside a pocket so I can take it out for nights on the town and so my fiancée can take it with her clubbing, etc.....I also need it to be small so I can use it mountain biking and skiing, etc, etc.....(which is why IS would be handy).
