Considering a day at Croft with circuitdays, however they state 98db static on the noise requirements. Been fine in the past at Donny with 98db driveby but last time static tested at Oulton I was 98.2db or therabouts. Have Lotus stg 2 exhaust on...

Can anyone recommend a way to sneak past/just under this limit; I guess I could just back of the revs a fraction but if they insist on complete accuracy and I go over 5750 then we're in 2nd cam land and struggling.

The last day at Donny someone was talking about these attachments you can get for the tailpipe to bring the noise down a bit; do these work for static tests as well as drive by? Any idea where I can pick one up?

TIA

Last time I saw a stg2 there it passed fine with some wadding shoved up the exhaust. It blew out on the sighting lap but it had passed by then (I don't think they have drive-by sensors).
2nd cam doesn't engage when the car is stood still.

Thanks; encouraging... any idea what would be regarded as safe to wad it out with? I always assumed 2nd cam engages whether stationary or not.

Edited to say, would this do the job if I just rammed some up the tailpipes??? Do you push it all the way into the box?
