Hello all,

I have previously read a few posts here about CCTV and monitoring intruder alarm systems so I thought I'd post my appeal here in case it is of interest to any of you.

I am making a documentary for Channel 4 (going out prime time in Feb 09) about Home Security and how ordinary homeowners (as opposed to footballers!) are utilising a variety of gadgets and other measures to protect their property from intruders. This may also include securing your car. Perhaps you have a comprehensive alarm system, CCTV, trained personal protection dog or perimeter security.

I would be most grateful to hear from anyone with a great security system - lo- or hi-tech. Please contact me on 0207 378 6106 or ally.roberts@centuryfilmsltd.com in complete confidence and without further commitment at this stage.

Thanks,
Ally Roberts

Funny this. I would have thought that if I had the need or desire to go to the trouble of securing my home with the most expensive or innovative protection, I'd hardly want to shout about it and have the details broadcast on TV!

Home security. Easy. Dont have anything worth anything and make sure they realise before trying to get in. It's worked so far.

Key is always under the mat or the back door is always left open. Just easier that way.

I believe in Karma so as long as I dont rob nobody will try to rob me

Its a ginger terrier... About a foot tall and the softest dog you will ever meet. He is more likly to roll over and pee on any intruders than anything else...

since we got burgled in the summer, we have installed an alarm system, a safe and a diy cctv system (5 cameras). also want gates fitted to drive, but too expensive at moment.

Couldn't agree more, why would anybody want to shout about what security they have. Totally defeats the point in having any. rolleyes

I'm guessing the only people who will be interested are those that have got nothing worth pinching and want to make a few quid out of the OP.

Thank you, Padgett, would be great to hear from you.

Please be assured that we aren't looking to expose anyone's security, but look at the ways people are securing their home. We are very aware of the sensitivity of the issue.

Thank you
