After a long absence of too long the GTR finally passed the SVA today!

Took some serious exhaust sealing efforts in the run up to get the lambda reading to the 0.97 - 1.03 level required! But once there, HC was 11 ppm (vs pass level of 200 ppm) and CO was .01% (vs pass level of .30%) So massively within the limits I wonder if it would pass without the cat?!

Out of interest the final dry weight (once my portly mass and fuel are deducted) came out at a shade under 910kgs, which I didn't think was bad!

Hopefully make it to the Exeter show..Is anyone else going?

I plan to go down but most likely in my Dakar.
May then go down into Cornwall for a few days from there.

How did you manage to wait from June to now before re-submitting your car for SVA, werent you driven by curiosity, or testosterone fuelled salivation even ?

FWIW, no, it's impossible to meet the HC/CO target's at Lambda 1 without a CAT, to meed the CO/HC target's you would have to run the engine somewhat leaner, and thus fail the 0.97-1.03 Lambda target.

A very nice car! The colour has certain looks with the old Sauber group C race cars. Post some more photos please!!!

TBH I wouldn't go much on the SVA's weight. When I had mine corner weighted it differed some what from the SVA weight.
