Taking on from what they were saying on top gear yesterday, about the credit crunch hitting some 2nd hand cars.

There are 2 GTR's for sale for 26,000 at the moment, is this a sign of things to come, or do you think it will pass us by?

Depends on what your willing to sell for.
I think most would keep them rather than sell them for that sort of money, and besides, what would you replace it with anyway?

Funnily enough I bought a CL55 a few months back as a stop gap car - paid 25k for a 1 owner , FMBSH car with just under 50k on the clock - pretty sure I'll have lost a sizeable wedge in 10 months .........however, I absolutely love the car so gonna keep her for a little longer than planned..........given that the original owner paid 112k and lost 83k in 4 years I still think it's a top drawer bargain barge!!

Honestly think that if you can afford the running costs on these type of cars then the next few months will be good time to pick up a bargain.......agree that Ultimas fall into a different category though and the 2 cars mentioned above are priced to sell for a reason.....be interesting to see what price a LS7 car would fetch in the current climate!!!

a friend of mine went to a local top marques car auction last week and he said hardly anything was meeting reserve and anything that was being sold was soooooo cheap.....

he buys cars to order, mainly the middle east and he says they are loving it at the mo, perhaps thats why they keep trying to force the price of oil up so they can buy some more Enzo'smad
