FRANKFURT/LONDON (Reuters) - BMW (BMWG.DE: Quote, Profile, Research) abandoned its 2008 earnings forecast and cut production on Tuesday after a 60-percent plunge in quarterly profit that underscored slowing sales in the troubled autos industry.
