I have an '87 Esprit which has a chargecooler fitted (Lotus). My question is on the boost indicator I am getting about .5 -.75 bar with my foot down on the floor. I am sure the car used to go to at least 1 bar, what is the recommended pressure for the intake. I do not have any special fittings on the turbo, just the wastegate

Thank you in advance

I would say .8 is normal for your car as your car does not have a intake temp sensor or the Delco EFI.

Unless you have put them in. A stock SE is in that range unless it has been rechipped. On a stock SE it does spike up to over 1 bar but back down quickly. I assume you are talking of holding a sustained boost and not a spike.

Did you fit your Lotus with a Chargecooler? What did it take to do this? I always wanted to fit my '87TE with one too.

A lot of people use the A/C core and lose the A/C.

Other plumb in a chargecooler radiator.
