The yellow stolen recovered
Discussion
Has anyone got any opinions on the yellow cerb for sale in the classifieds.
Obviously the stolen recovered bit has put people off, and the possibility of engine problems and possibly suspension damage etc.
Would it seriously be a problem if I was in fact looking to upgrade or change those potential 'problematic things' anyway?
Perhaps a good platform for a project??
(after selling the tuscan of course darling!)
Any suggestions welcome.

Is this the one from
??
If so i have viewed the car. I would haave to say walk away!!
Body work is average and engine bay looks rough. Not a problem?
The you look at the chassis! Two outriggers are missing and even the centre rails have rusted through!!
Ive never see or heard of a Cerb chassis so badly rusted. Its certainly not repairable.
So i would say the value of the car is circa 4k maybee a bit less.
Maybe im talking about the wrong car though???

Sorry for the edit BUT if it is that particular car then the post will fall foul of the N&S ruling.

Agree with chassis comment or maybe it should read "space where chassis should be".

We was discussing this on the spotted forum.
This appears to be the famous Boscastle Cerb that never moved for four years.
Stolen recovered

Can I not interest you in my Blue car...It's sat on my drive doing nothing & is in danger of ending up the same way

Hi
I viewed that car in September and I'm definately not an expert espacially mechanically, I just love Cerbs, but its not good value for money IMO.
Personally I think the car has been in the drink at some point, it stinks and when I saw it they could even get it going. However I did meet someone after this who had also seen the car and said they had got it going, after 3 hours, but was only running on 4 cylinders.
Outriggers etc, mean nothing to me, this is just an honest opinion from a laymans point of view. Also they told me it was a 4.2 when its obvioulsy a 4.5.
Also,
they said if I wasn't interested in that one they had a Speed 6 that just needed a new radiator!!!!!! Look through the ads, you'll see what I mean
I looked at cars for over 6 months before i found mine.

I would be interested to know if any cerbera had ever been stolen.
Yeah, i bought mine as a non runner, and when i was ready to fire it up i had no idea of the procedure, i had to read the manual first! the guys at my local MOT station had to ring us up when another was dropped off as they couldnt start that either!Gassing Station | Cerbera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
