reached the centre of Birmingham having driven up from Kent this AM to notice that my speedo was registering bursts of 180 - 200 mph!

at one point pulling away from the lights the speedo hit the stops at 200mph

For those of you with superchargers it must get a bit boring but I have to say it excited me (even though I know it just must be an electrical fault)

common problem I'm afraid, few of those who have had it got their clocks replaced under warranty. I believe if you do a search on Oz forums there's info on the component that the dry joint affects - anyone competent with a soldering iron should be able to fix it for themselves. Have only seen it once myself and cant be bothered ripping clocks out to try fix it. I've even got photographic proof of me sitting in a queue of cars doing 200mph on the clocks while stationary.

It's happened to me too, a couple of times. Not for a while though. Think it may be moisture related?
