Author Michael Crichton dies in LA

[Tycho]

Reported on Sky News from Reuters.

I enjoyed a lot of his books especially Prey, Airframe and the Jurassic Park series.

Admittedly he was a bit of an eco-nutter but I enjoyed his techno thrillers.

What will I read next time I go on holiday?

I have always enjoyed his yarns - always well researched, and with a good bibliography.

RIP Michael.

Ah, is he really dead or is it in fact a VAST GLOBAL CONSPIRACY???

Shame it wasn't Dan Brown frankly.

Wow, just read the link. I did not realize all that he had accomplished! Damn sad loss.

'Twas only the other day that I was thinking it about time he had another book out.

RIP Michael.

I did/do not agree with some of his theories, but there is no denying that he was a talented writer.

West World and The Andromeda Strain will always be my particular favourites. Having said that, Jurassic Park was also a compelling read.

I was not aware he was an MD and an associate of the Salk Institute. His theories are based upon more than imagination I suppose.
