As any body on here seen the merci for sale at Tom Hartleys place seems cheap for a merci with such low miles + warranty, maybe i will be able to replace my Gallardo with one of these next year after all, just need to find out how the running costs would compare with the Gallardo lambo brum say that a good car shouldnt cost much more to run than a G,what do you think.I would think that any car being sold by Tom Hartley would be in 1st class condition wouldnt you.

This one doesn't seem to have sold yet.
The blingy wheels might be putting off some potential purchasers, but I kinda like the colour.

Tom Hartleys seem to be pretty competative at the moment IMO. Was looking at an M6 at his place the other day, but its now sold.

As i have already said i wont be looking for a replacement for my G until next year and by then i would expect most cars to have slowed down as far as loosing money is concerned, having lost alot on my car this year you dont need to remind me of the current climate, its also worth remembering that not everyones financial position is the same.

I was referring to the wheels, not your desire to buy another car.

How are the wheels and the current climate related?

I thought about this car but spoke to a friend who has access to the insurance data base and he said in 2004 late, it had a large claim made against it for a rear end shunt, so I think I might pass on this car, maybe that's why it's cheap, not sure if TH are aware of this and that's why it's priced that way.

why is it every car I like has something wrong with it ??

I have that problem with cars and women.

Cars I like seem to be full of issues and women always end up to be psychos! biggrin

Current climate = fewer purchasers than usual
wky wheels = fewer potential buyers

So if trying to sell a car at the moment, you need to ensure its attractive to the widest possible market.

Mmmmm I'm not sure how you would find out but surely if it's had a shunt and claimed for but not registered as a cat c, d or what ever then surely no one would have a clue it has been repaired,,,,,,,,,,,,,, unless of course you have access to the insurance company who paid out for the repair

I looked at one last year and nothing showed up on the register but I managed to find out it had a 65k claim for a front end crunch,,,, plus the dealer knew this (Lambo dealer) and he failed to tell me !!!

walked away from it

The sellers taste makes no difference to how well maintained the car is. What a load of nonsense. It'll cost nothing to stick standard wheels on there.

'Current climate' or not.

hmmm I think I might know who repaired this car, but I couldn't be totally sure, as I never saw the reg when it was in.
