Just booked my flight to Oz for Feb '09.

Looking for travel insurance for the trip.
Away for 4 weeks, staying with relatives, no dangerous activities but I have Type 1 Diabetes.

Anyone got any recommendations please?

BUPA. They will cover you for Diabetes related illness whilst you are travelling. Most wont.

Did you pay on Credit Card? some have free travel insurance.

Failing that, there are loads if you google.

Or, you could go to a local travel agents and they will cover you. That's what I done last time I went on holiday, but they're more expensive, but that's my fault for leaving it so late.

Thank you. Any experience of using them, anyone had to claim from them?

No, didn't use CC.

I know but I was wondering if anyone had any "actual" claims experience and search engines don't work the same as a forum does.
Thanks though.

I'm type 1 Diabetic,
I have their travel insurance.
Actually taking out the policy is a piece of piss.
Thankfully I've never had to claim.
