I`ve had her up sale and have been test driving a few options to replacemnt her with. To be honest i just can`t find anything that even comes close to the Monaro for the money. Any recomendations and it must be something thats rare.

As soon as you say "rare" there is a problem. I love the fact that you just don't see these beasties on the road much. When I changed from Subaru to Holden I had looked at pretty much everything and 6 months on I still can't think of a motor that I'd rather be in, for the money and practicality.

See I don't get this confused You're not selling it to buy another car (that you already want) but selling it and don't know what to get? So why not just keep it?

Had a CV8 with lodas of mods for 3 years and 70k miles an bloody loved it. Had to turn to German oil powered machines as mileage was going up but damn do I regret it. Faced exactly the same problem looked at all sorts of really quite exotic stuff but none of it really delivers what the Ro/VXR8 do for the overall package and cost IMHO.

Mileage gone down, diesel stupidly expensive compared to petrol want a V8

Now stuck in a Diesel X5 which is a very nice omplete all round car indeed with quite surprising pace and economy for a 2 tonne panzer but if any VX dealers interested in doing a deal.....

in all fairness you can`t go wrong with a HSV as an all round package.
