Old Rolls-Royces never die, they just go faster. In the case of Wilwood Engineering’s 1970 Silver Shadow, that’s a whole lot faster.

Billed as the World’s Fastest Rolls Royce, this superbly executed hot-rod boasts a supercharged and nitrous injected 572 cubic inch fully-built Hemi engine with handmade headers mated to a Pro Glide drag racing transmission. The stated output is 1,050bhp, but sadly no acceleration times have been quoted to back the ‘world’s fastest’ claim.

That lowered body sits atop an Art Morrison chassis with fully automatic air-ride suspension, disc brakes and 18x7ins front and 20x15ins rear wheels wrapped in Micky Thompson rubber. The hand-stitched custom leather interior features a custom console and dash with Autometer gauges and full rollcage. It’s on display at SEMA (of course!) where it’s designed to show off Wilwood’s engineering prowess. Job done!

The should replace the "Spirit of Ecstacy" on the front with "Someone on Ecstacy". Some girl with a mini skirt and a boob tube holding a bottle of water may be more appropriate.
