A few weeks back I broke a wheel spoke on my Scott road bike and took it into the lbs for repair. For some reason that I still don't understand, it proved impossible to find a replacement spoke for this wheel either through Shimano, Madison or any other supplier in this country. Not quite believing the lbs, I tried ringing round a few places and found the same thing. It was looking like a new set of wheels was going to be necessary which was money I didn't really want to spend.

I then went along to the Cycleshow at Earl's Court and had a harangue at one of the reps on the Scott stand. She introduced me to one of their warranty guys who happened to be there that day and I explained the problem. He asked me to email him with my details, which I thought was a polite way of getting me out of his way, but I did so anyway. A few days later, a brand new wheel from Scott turned up at my place foc.

So I'm a happy bunny and that's a very big thumbup from me for Scott and their customer service division.

A freind of mine had a scott ransom I think??

Anyway the rear swing arm cracked and the bike was well out of warranty.

He had a new one shipped over from the states for free no questions asked.

They are very good.

They also had a load of swing arm failures and did a quiet redesign!

I'll second this. The support from Scott over here in the States is great, Cannondale too. Unlike Specialized.

Ive had 2 problems with the frame on my ransom a couple of years ago and i never had a problem with there after sales and think they are A1+ to deal with. I recived a new frame each time without an issue. I cant fault them and wouldnt want to. They never asked what i had been doing or anything with the bike, They just appologised and a new frame was built up for me... I can only praise scott cycles for the service ive always had of them.bow
