The handling on my cerbs driving me mad, had new shocks (original bills) fitted last year but they put the old springs back on and the car is really no better, it bottoms out, wallows in bends and try's to throw me into every tree available. Question is is it best for me to start again with something like GAZ Golds or first try uprated spring or could it be something else - bushes, anti-rollbar or just me.

Als what spring rating would you recommend for my original shocks

thanks again

Get an expert to look at it before you spend any money. Try Trackcar Solutions or someone similar.

I had the same with mine and it turned out to be worn saggy springs. I bought a set from Absolutly Shocks and it transformed it. About £100 I think.

I'd look at replacing your bushes too.

I'd have your suspension inspected instead of just replacing things hoping they'll sort out the problem. Sounds like it could do with a proper alignment though.

As others have said, get the alignment done properly, just make sure you go to someone who knows what theyre doing! My Griff felt like it was trying to kill me as well, when it left a certain Cerbera/TVR 'specialist' who had alegedly set it up.The rear wheels had one that was toe in more than one degree, and the other was toe out!!,front wasnt much better and the cambers were all over the place. So my car had the rear trying to go in a different direction to the front!I've given up with said 'specialist' and his advocation of the 'piece of string' alignment check, and had mine done locally by a garage using a proper lazer alignment system. The car is transformed-'night and day' as they saysmile

yes

I wish I'd bought them when I bought my Gaz, which was false economy in hindsight.

Better still, talk to Joolz and get some expert advice before you buy anything. He's not too far from you either. You won't go wrong.

I have not contributed to the Cerbera forum for some months since I sold my Cerbera 4.5 after 5 years ownership in February this year. Prior to this I spent a lot of time and money with Joolz e.g. here. Do a search on my profile and you will find more facts of my very positive experience with TCS.

I have ALWAYS, over many years of dealing with TCS, found Joolz to be a true professional and a gentleman. I don't know what your problem is but do not try and implicate me innocently in whatever gripe you may wish to publicise.

And do not patronise me with your so called 'warning'!

It appears that THE AJP GRIFF (or someone) has removed the above post. Would the person who has removed the post please explain their reasoning.

I havent tried to implicate you or patronise you,Phil.I used to sing from the same hym sheet as you,for many years. As for professionalism, well,i'm afraid that 'professionals' produce a good standard of work, and what we have is certainly not that!We have physical and photographic proof of that in huge quantities! A 'professional' would usually offer to rectify such poor workmanship,in the rare event that a true 'pro' would have produced it in the first place!
i'm not talking about one thing here, but many many things, and at a massive personal cost of many thousands of pounds.
The irony is,that the 'professional' that i'm referring to is known for suspension work, yet my set up was that far out that i considered it blcensoredy dangerous!!
to be honest though, the geo/suspension set up was the least of our worries, post fire!!

Just to prove the above, this was what was said:

You have to be very careful who you recommend, sometimes. Not trying to pick a fight with yourself,Phil, but it's amazing how some people on here get away with having a good reputation, yet produce such shcensoredt work,so much so,that were having to instigate legal proceedings to recover some of the huge costs of the damaging effects of such 'specialists'.So many people, having heard of our misfortune, are now coming out of the woodwork to share similar tales of woefurious You have been warned!!

That's your problem. But don't try to ride on my opinion to publicise your gripe. If it's official then use offical channels not PH!

Not sure what has gone on here? From the sounds of things it should be kept off a public forum until resolved.

For what its worth, he's looked after our car for years and without him, it would have been sold years ago. A true professional and an absolute gent with it. thumbup

Hi Ben

We share the same understanding. Having not posted on the Cerbera forum for many months I seem to have been innocently implicated in a discussion that should never have been undertaken on PH.

Cheers
