Cannot wait to see what the pictures look like, that crushed velour headlining sounds a little garish!

If you factor in the labour costs most classic car restorations at home can run into tens of thousands.

Money is all that is left over when you've run out of taste.

Try adding 450 hours at £50 per hour to the cost of the car and the parts.

Give me 50K and I will spend it on my mini in no time. Original mini fins, KAD ally brake cable pivots, Equal length drive shafts, Quife limited slip diff, Magnezeam ally wheels, ultra light start motor, Uprated alternator, Fully ajustable suspention rose jounted and set up air con etc. The hard part is not ending up spending that much!

He he I will now quote a few lines from Motor Sport 1980, february issue, they did a piece about Wood & Pickett Coachbuilders.

"In one area I found Les Pickett and a selection of hides that matched not only the rainbow, but quite a few frankly hideous shades that nature does not inflict on us. The staff nodded sagely and mutely agreed that costumer taste often was eccentric, but they are in the business to satisfy wealthy individual whims, not deny them."

I think that about sums it up----
