Silver 550 Maranello R813 HNE - anyone know?
Discussion
It's a repossessed car coming up for auction soon, but the auctioneers don't have any service history, MOT, V5 etc. I'm tempted, as it would be cheap, but without knowing anything else about it, it would also be a helluva gamble.
If anyone could shed any light on the car it may persuade me to gamble!!
cheers for any help

Hi guys
Slightly o/t, but is this a representative price for an early 550 or is more likely to be a scam.... If genuine it kicks the auction price into the long grass.
Seems a bit too low to me

I know a 550 of similar age went through Brightwells auctions recently for a claimed sold price of £25K - so if this is anything to go by it could be attractive if you're brave.
I came very close to buying that car - I have a £500 inspection report on my desk from a local Ferrari specialist - the car had a number of minor(ish) issues, and it would've cost £10k + to put right, but it was essentially sound and good value. I had agreed in principle to buy it for £25k, but the auctioneer called at the last minute to say that someone else had nipped in at a figure closer to £30k.Edited by Biggles111 on Friday 7th November 10:29

Inspection reports are cheaper from main Ferrari dealer, I sold my 360 private buyer got inspection done by dealer for £250+vat (if he bought the Ferrari used car warranty the inspection would have come off the price).
