Out of general PH interest (i.e. yet another odd thread on perspectives of our lives) and also as a bit of market research what are your breakfast eating habits? I have limited characters for the poll answers, so have added some additional explanation of what I meant below:

I never eat before lunchtime - breakfast is a non-event for you; not even elevenses.
I always have breakfast at home - whether cereal or full cooked breakfast.
I grab a coffee en route to drink at work - breakfast is pretty much liquid only; you eat at lunchtime.
I grab coffee and food to consume at work - maybe coffee and pastries, or bacon roll etc
I usually go out for a sit-down breakfast - you use a 'modern' outlet, for coffee and continental-style breakfast, e.g. croissants, pastries
I usually go out for a 'full English' - you head for the nearest greasy spoon, roadside van etc and have cooked food.

I'd also be interested to know from people who either never eat before lunchtime or who only have a coffee whether they change their habit at weekends and have a 'proper' breakfast at home.

Make myself something, usually a pitta filled with something, then take it to work along with a coffee.

I'm trying to look after myself - so porridge or muesli with tea at home during the week and bacon rolls and proper coffee at the weekend. If we've got friends down or fancy a rare treat, we'll either go out for a full fry up / bacon rolls at the beach cafe 100 yds away (weather dependant) or I'll do a grill up at home.

HTH.

Firm believer that if you skip breakfast you'll eat crap later on and have too large a lunch.

I usually have my bowl of shreddies before work, although the call for a nice breakfast roll becomes too strong and I have to entertain it lick

Since I left education I have not eaten breakfast.

Mainly because I can't help going to bed late, and thus having to lie in for every last minute in bed.

I wish I could get up and make myself two poached eggs each morning, and I am sure it would set me up a lot better for the morning, but I just can't..

Will make a tea, take a shower, put toast on, dress. Then sit down for 5 minutes and enjoy.

Bite of toast at work (in t'work's canteen) during the week. Full Irish (if I can get the white pudding) at weekends.

No wonder you're an 'ill monkey'. Marmite for breakfast (in fact, at all). hurl

i buy decent bread to make toast at home, but never get round to it as my morning routine is geared towards spending the max. time in bed.

kettle goes on as soon as i get to work. canteen is next door so its either toast or a bacon butty.
on a friday someone does an external butty run as they're better. bacon, egg & mushroom for me this morning.

Pistonheads - far too much information

I usually have a piece of fruit around 11ish, so don't really fit into any category above. I don't buy in coffee, it's free at work!

Don't usually have the time or the stomach for breakfast before I leave the house just after 7am. Much the same on the weekends, unless the OH makes bacon sarnies, but that's usually around 11ish too!

I work on a construction site, our canteen only serves 'full english' so you have that or don't eat, and as I tend to get up twenty minutes before I have to be in the office, I don't usually bother with breakfast at home. Sometimes I have a brekkie, I usually just don't eat during the day.
