Just opened my local free paper to read that some detritus of society have stolen £300 of donations and the last remaining poppies from an 84 year old paritally sighted war veteran collecting in the local shopping centre.

No words. I just hope something really nasty happens to you very soon.

Oh lord, I'm not a religious man, but please inflict some horrible, painful and incurable disease on the low life scum of the earth who did this.

...the old boy said "I would have given them a poppy if they wanted one but did not have any money" (bless!)

and...

POLICE HAVE MADE AN ARREST!!!!

...like being dropped into Afghanistan with inadequate protection and equipment whilst their families are made to slum it in squalid forces digs back home. Perhaps they might then start to appreciate what that poppy's for. Scum.

I respectfully correct those veterans collecting for RBL who thank me for my donation.

Something similar happened near me.

The Royal British Legion had a gang of robbers come in with an Axe and a machette ransacked the place and took all the Poppy money. Now i live just out side alderly edge and prestbury and would never in a millions years thinkthat would happen round here.

People are mindless these days and capityal punishment should be brought back as well as having to go in the army for 5years after school.

God no. The last thing the services want is any of these scum being forced to join up. They want decent recruits not the scum of the earth.

I can think of a suitable punishment for the feckers if they catch them:

March them to a boggy field
Make them dig a trench
Put them in it, pour water on them to ensure they are very cold and wet
Handcuff them to something heavy placed on the bottom of the trench, concrete block will do
Let the army shell the hole for a few hours

Might teach them a lesson.

If they're caught, a little rehab in Kandahar would be appropriate.
