Omega Cosmic Diver - 1970s watch

I hadn't seen these before and think they might be a bit of an unappreciate gem.

They are fairly plain, have an 'oyster' style bracelet and look fairly rugged. What I really like though is that they do look like a direct relation to the Planet Ocean - certainly in terms of shape and bezel design.

Does anyone have one? Anyone know much about them?

Seriously though, a lovely watch. Seems to come in around the £700 mark which is a bit steep, but I'll be adding it to my "look out for one of these" list.
