Bad news on the overheating on my T350t, the rad is leaking, so it is a new rad i am afraid, it works out to be around £750 including fitting etc, for an upgraded alloy one, does this sound about right?

Ouch - I have a problem with mine whereby normal driving is seeing around 95 and idle anything up to 110 - both fans come on and the temp drops slightly with them but I still feel it's hot considering the time of year. Dread to think how hot it would be in the summer.

Shes going back to castle next Saturday for them to check this out so I'll mention your rad experience and get them to double check this area. Just hope if ti is the case it's coverd under warranty (espec as I've only had it 3 weeks)

Depends on where it is leaking, mine was leaking fron the core and had it repaired for £30.

Rad retails for £400 so £350 for fitting sounds expensive to me, I'd change it myself.

Or like somebody said remove it and get it reconditioned.

sorry to here about the rad probs, but like barry has already mentioned I personally would remove it myself and check it over to establish the extent of the damage etc.
Only problems removing them is the awkardness of getting at it, otherwise a relativley simple task. Although may be easy to some and not others, just depends on your spannerability...is that a word?

Zippee, exact same problem i was having with temp, and it didnt seem to be using that much water.

It is an upgraded all alloy one and i have heard it is a bugger to install because of access.

So i think i am going to have to swallow the money and hope this is the last of my problems:

So far after 3 months of ownership and 3000 miles i have had to replace the clutch and cylinder, starter motor, oil sensor, new quieter exhaust and now the rad plus a full service, the car only had 9000 mile on the clock so i didnt really anticipate all these problems, it has been a very expensive process so far compared to Porsche ownership.

Hi Stephen, I think you have been a litte unlucky to be honest. But at the end of the day which car would you rather drive? I hope its the last of repairs for a while.

Not sure how similar the Tamora and T350 are under the nose but I have just taken the radiatior out of my Tamora and it took about an hour. There is a thread on here from last week named "Has anyone changed the radiator themselves" with the info in it.

Basically use a long flexible socket to get the clips off, drain the system, undo the the bolt each side, lift slightly and slide out underneath with the car on axle stands.

I had a new all metal radiator made for £310, add £30 for the cost of new anti-freeze and it will be just under £350.

My original radiator leaked so I had it replaced with an Alloy radiator, which appears to be better and will last longer than the original one.
