I assume when you say Mexican you mean Tex-Mex which is different to
beans and the sparing use of road-kill which is what real Mexican food is.

I love "Mexican" but I've also tried "Mexican" in a Mexican restraunt ran by Mexicans.

Whilst in prague, I went to an italian restaurant ran by a french couple.

Still tasted the same though.

English all the way for me. I love international cuisine of all varieties but English really is a winner. there are several great English classic combinations. Lamb and mint, Pork and cider/apple, beef and horseradish and my favourite, venison and rosemary.

Fish 'n' chips is lovely but by and large we fail at fast food, Italian, chinese and obviously American food are all better in the quick and easy league but if you want to make an effort English is so much better.

English cuisine is much maligned but it's like so much that is English. We don't do low to mid anything very well but when it comes to high end everything we excel most of the time and food is no exception. A bowl of good casserole with wholemeal bread cut for dipping takes some beating, as does a proper roast with all the bits.

I don't do puddings but we win there as well.

the British should never have been allowed to have fish, any fish at all
all they've ever done is coat it in thick batter

totally clueless

Italian.

For example, prior to visiting Italy I hated spinach. With a passion. In 2005, we visited a trattoria in Valeggio (allegedly the birthplace of tortelloni), and I ordered a side dish of wilted spinach with olive oil and parmesan. It was sensational.

And the pizzas!

And the tortelloni with butter and sage.

And the sidestreet paninis.

And the caffe correto

Italian but not for the obvious reason

every region has its own dishes and specialities and it is very hard to eat badly where every you go

besides, where else can you buy a bottle of bonarda for less than a bottle of water?

Got to be English. Done well, we have some of the best food in the world. French and Italian also very good. yum

I like Japanese as a treat, but find Thai normally rather greasy. And, if I never see a sweet and sour pork grease ball again, it'll still be too soon.

Good poll.
