Actually she's chuffed, proper British sports car, much better than the Fiat Panda(actually an Integrale Evo2)that I sold earlier this year, she can't wait to drive it...I can though.
Would just like to say thanks to Pistonheads and all the Chim people for being a fantastic source of knowledge.
Ive' wanted one for so long and have been looking for a few months, finally on Saturday I bought a 98 S 4.0 Chimaera, titanium with red leather. Got completely carried away on the testdrive, didn't want to get out, I'd forgotten how addictive that exhaust note is.
Unfortunately I have to wait a little longer until I can pick it up......which is too long,
Any Chim owners in/around the Chichester area?
One proud new Chim owner..

Hayling Island here Jeremy, we are often over your way so will keep an eye out. See pic in profile.
Ours has non-PAS and the wife drives it just fine, in fact we test drove both varients and she preferred it without, just keep the wheels moving, however slowly and it's fine.
Welcome to the crazy gang.

Are you the same Evo that regularly contributed to the Evo forum (integrale chat) in the past?
I too sold my integrale this year and now have a 450 chimaera, which I love. Don't get me wrong the integrale is a superb car, but the TVR feels special even when going slow, in the Lancia it did not really come alive until you were going around corners at surreal speeds!!

Not taken it on any track Jeremy, don't really feel the need to - I got all that out of my system many years ago
anyway, with next to no plod and no scameras whatsoever on Hayling I can generally have an infinatly varying trackday at will for free
Listen out for us, we nearly always use the A259 to bypass the A27 bore, can often be found at The Bosham Inn when feeling too lazy to cook anything.

Just down the road at Cosham, Portsmouth ... not yet made any meets (honeymoon got in the way
) but you're right on top of the TVRCC meet for the area - Bull's Head, Fishbourne (check out the TVRCC website for more details).
Welcome to the grinning club

Exactly how fast does a Chim go in second gear then.
I bought the car on saturday from a friend who deals in sports/specialist cars, let me test drive on my own, stupid man, nearly didn't bring it back.
Approximately two weeks to go......
and I'm not good at waiting
