It's a pretty respectable film IMO, definitely one of the better videogame --> film adaptations.

Those are the best bits as well They also cut the most gruesome parts of Alessa's "revenge" in the church.

Got it on DVD recently, I liked it although it's a bit too long. Some great scenes in it though and it's very atmospheric (just like the game).

Worth watching.

(Sean Bean's American accent takes some getting used to though!)
