in July, I was presented with the gift of a Tauchmeister divers watch - brill, thinks I, since i was going to ring Nick at Werners to order one anyway.....

ffd to november, and the crown (winder0 appears to have chewed its thread - I can pust it in and wind it down, but you can pull it straight out again!!!

Bless him, I phoned Nick to seek his advice - the news was not good. Anybody else have this happen to them - and if so what is the solution - the g'tee doen't cover it!!!!!

Cheeers in advance,

CP

p.s. and if you read this Nick, I'll be in touch before xmas!!

It is a common problem, well i say common, it happens to alot of people who don't take care when screwing the crown in, not your fault, sometimes it can be something as stupid as just slightly tilting the crown, basically you have cross threaded it, usually a new crown, and sometimes a new barrel as well, inexpensive usually.
Thanks,
Andrew
P.S not covered under garuntee as it is accidental damage.
