Having just got my Cerbie back from the garage after having a few bits done, I am having probs with the Alarm. As soon as i press the 'fob' to lock etc, the alarm immediately sounds. There are no interior lights staying on (I was told to check this) so am a bit stumped. The garage have said they didn't disconnect the battery, that car hasn't been allowed to get wet, as it was kept inside for the whole time they had it.
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what it could be, and what to do about it!!
Thanks Chris

Have you re-sync'd it? If they have disconnected the battery then its possible you need to do that.

Press and hold the button for about 10 seconds, the indicators should flash a few times and its done.

Have you tried unplugging the alarm unit to reset it?

No, i haven't tried that as of yet, I believe the alarm is situated between the two back seats, any idea how i get into this area?? I will try this during the week, but do you think it may be something as simple as that, and it will work, or should i just call up Carl Baker and find out if it is terminal??!! And whether it will need professional help!!??

Sorry Chris would rather not say on an open forum how to do what you want.

Are you a TVRCC member?
If yes, post over there in the Cerbera section and I'll reveal all!

Does the alarm work as normal, but the siren goes off of it's own accord, or is the whole system playing up?

Disconnecting battery normally does the trick. Leave it a while before reconnecting

Having similar problems with my alarm lately, after changing the big fuse and then battery going flat over weekend. Rang Carl Baker today at lunch; he advised me that if the LED is flashing on the rear window sensor then the alarm is still working in some respects, and that disconnecting a fully charged battery, leaving it for a couple of minutes then reconnecting should kick the alarm into working again.

Chris, I've been in Brum for a week and about to go to Thailand for a couple of weeks.

If it's not sorted by the beginning of December, let me know and I can pop round and swap the alarm boxes over for you....

Thanks Andy for offer, I spoke to Carl Baker today, cerbie is going up to him this thursday to be checked out.

The whole alarm is messing around, its not just the siren sounding, it won't lock, do windows up or anything!! frown

Tried to reset, but nope won't work.

So best thing is goes to Carl Baker for the day to get it sorted once and for allllll......
