ickle one under the front? Asked this when I first got mine and told it is for stability at speed?? I think its to let you know when you are too close to the kerb.

Jeff, you're completely wrong. My bib spoiler was designed specifically to keep Duct Tape in business...... wink eg:

Bib spoiler ? cry

Something else on the list, though not needed by me for high speeds...unless I finally do a track day at Black Rock. hehe

I think you have to be doing over a hundred for this stuff to kick in.

Tranny vans seem to manage ok. smile

For the purposes of this conversation I guess a lepton is approximately 100mph then?

Disposable air damm - to stop air getting under the car which must give instability and lift.

Mine seems to have one that is wider than most others and I always knock the end off on kerbs frown

Although maybe the 390 had slightly wider one, as I think I got a copy from a 390 made for me by Andy390 - and can't remember what the original looked like

Mine is attached by cable ties to snap off easilly rather than damaging the front whe bibi spoiler is attache to smile

It might be because the SEAC was designed at the time of the 390 SE... most SEAC shells and the 390SE type body.

I think the 400 SE used the disposable air damm .. disposable because you need another one when you park up to a kerb at the front..

Luckily they are cheap.

It is the panel under the front

It is all one big piece and cost me £65 from Tet Mouldings
It is glass fibre but would be better in some kind of rubber material
as in only about 6-12 months mine is bashed all over (and only once from kerbing)

Fine.. until it rains! smile

They would be better if made from flexible rubber.

It was done by Tower View. Obviously they are no more but I'm sure Dave Wallis would do another for you. Steve Heath (shpub)is probably the best person to ask as he is in contact and works with Dave on a number of projects.

p.s You're only allowed to copy me if you also get something in the engine bay that requires the bonnet mods wink
