Locking Wheel Nuts

Who's got them?

When I got my Tamora they were already on the car and I assumed that they were standard equipment.

Of course I've now fecking managed to lose the adapter so I can't get any of my wheels off.

When I've eventually sorted that out I'm thinking of just replacing the locking nuts with normal £2 TVR wheel nuts.

I'd be interested to know what everyone else has done.

Anyone had a set of wheels nicked or is this a rare occurence?

Oh and anyone know a garage near Leeds that can get a set of Jag locking nuts off?

I dont bother with them, its just another thing for me too loose (the adapter that is)
Ive always found them more hassle that they are worth. But thats just me.

Hi I purchased some stainless capped nuts from the states for my Tam that look much better than the std items and they don't rust. From memory a set of 16 was about £45 inc P&P They look just like the shiney nuts that people used to buy which are twice the price and they don't make anymore. I also purchased a set of locking nuts as they only cost £25 and carry thatcham approval. The keys are coded so you can buy replacements!

They way I look at it is whilst they may not be needed, a new set of spiders & boots cost far more than a set of locking nuts and if you keep the key safe or order a spare to keep at home just in case you loose the other its a sound investment so why take the risk?
