Cant believe how shockingly quickly my x-type has depreciated and the p/x offer on my car. I've just agreed the purchase of a new daily car but the p/x is so bad I would far rather see the car go to someone for a good price rather than back on a forecourt with a large slice of profit included.

so if anyone is interested in a bargain barge, the advert is here

That's alot of car for the money.

I'll pass this on to a relative but I'm doubtful anything will come of it I'm afraid.

Best of luck!

Why not just keep it and drive it forever? Hardly worth selling it at that price.

I agree. The problem is that my decision to sell was based on the fact I was running an x-type everyday and a Lotus Elise for fine days and holidays. The fine days have been few and far between for a second successive summer, and the holidays are in short supply due to studying (and another 3 years ahead of me of studies) so I found myself driving the x-type 99% of the time. Hence I decided I would sell both and buy myself something more sporty that was more useable than the elise as an everyday car. If I keep the Jag as a daily runner it defeats the purpose frown

I did suggest that my g/f have it in place of her 206 but she isn't comfortable driving what she deems to be a huge car!

Dont get me wrong, I am gutted to see it go at that money and have a feeling I may regret my decision.

Sold in a day. frown will be sad to see her go. If I return to 2 cars I'll be shopping for another. Really positive experience of Jags smile

By the looks of his profile, it seems he's got a boxter

sorry, only just checked back on this thread.

Yep, previous poster is correct. Bought myself a Boxster S as a daily car in place of the Jag. I don't really need 4 seats so decided to try a useable sporty car on a daily basis and looking to add something more extreme than an elise for the weekend smile
