I have been in uk for 8 months now after moving from another country where i was trained and qualified as a plumber i have had no work since i arrived here even though i send my cv out nearly every day is there any thing i can do to help with me obtaining work ( tips ) im talking from the agencies point of view there must be something wrong with my cv although i have gone over it umpteen times . If any agencies see this post and want me to email my cv to them to look over and tell me where i am going wrong i would be greatly appreciated . Thanks for reading and please accept my apologies if this post is not allowed

If you are self employed why not try registering on here http://www.findagoodone.com/index.html you can then be contacted by people looking for jobs to be done.

Conversley there is another website where people advertise jobs which you can contact them and quote them for doing the work.

Have you tried local plumbers merchants they normally know the lie of the land and may be able to suggest a plumbers who are looking to take people on.

Also keep your rates competative to keep the work ticking over, I have found that there are several plumbers who take the piss completely i.e. quote £100 for changing a washer in a tap!!!!

Why not stick your CV up on here without some of the detail.

Yeah, you can repair my cistern. It's a job that's beneath our home-grown plumbers so it's been busted for two years now.
