the engine is a 3.0 v6 !

it is a ford though !

uses the same engine as our 3.0 nobles are based on - the inlet manifold, air con and power steering are identical !

True if the bits are the same. But wouldn't you just be checking part numbers then?

So I get a bit out of a Greek Ford bus, get the part number, buy it from Ford. I get the same bit out of the Noble, same part number, buy it from Ford. Same result surely? Now I seem to remember someone saying that places where asking for chassis numbers when buying bits, so that might be useful.... 'It's for my Greek cousin honest...'

it does make me laugh that the engines in our Nobles started out destined for a 4wd off roader !

i'd love to know how Lee got to use this engine - i guess it was a logical choice being a direct replacement for the 2.5 v6.

Its not availble in the uk, perhaps its popular in SA

I was told that the Engines came from the Explorer and that Power Torque supplied them.

lol - yes this one had definately been off road ! the filth under the bonnet was pretty bad - i can only imagine what the air filter looked like
