They're not the same as they were!
I used to love them when I was young and I always remember the smell of the "refreshers factory" in London!

Is Barratt & Maynards the same company? They've totally f7cked up Sports Mixture over the years since they've bought them out, too. Hate the company now, the people responsible should be hanged for screwing with the quality of life of millions.

Refreshers should never be in packs. Old school, 2p brick of filling extractor, everytime.

ahhh good old "new improved recipe". About the only thing you ever need to see on a pack to guarantee you'll not enjoy the flavour as much as the original.

Can't think of a single instance when "improved" didn't mean "tastes like st in comparison".

I think they're mostly a marketing exercise. Marketing about their 'great new taste', some viral anti-marketing asking for feedback, lots of angst-ridden people saying they hate it (lots of email addresses for the future) and then a big marketing campaign saying they're great because they listen to their customers, and they change it back again. Except using cheaper ingredients.

I totally agree on the Refreshers issue. I'm a complete addict and the new improved ones are just pants! Fortunately the local CO-OP seems to have a good supply of the old ones in 5 pack packs. Mmmmm burpy!

Cheers,
Rob

Morrisons had good supply of them - but not anymore- so grabbed 6x5 packs at cheapo quid each at Iceland - only to find the new crap taste -£6 bloody quid on crap Refreshers!
BTW Refreshers are brilliant for cooling off a hot curry!
I think this is old pack?
