Got this on Friday, don't see a thread running already.

Great game, better than the original, with the best new feature being split screen play so that you can race up to 4 people against each other without going on line.

THe kids and me spent hours this weekend , 4 up, trying to barge each other of the new tracks and generally splat the other players whilst racing some truly great courses. We didn't even get round to trying to online stuff!!!

Would heartily recommend it... excellent!!!

Thought I'd give this a bump as some on here seem to have got this for Christmas (including myself).

Great tracks, awesome graphics, massive sensation of speed, epic crashes, great choice of vehicles, shortcuts and tracks, pumping soundtrack, and feels like a muddy version of Wipeout.

By far my favourite race game on the PS3 (I have Grid and GT5P).

Have spent hours getting RSI and not blinking for minutes today!!

Has anyone tried the online version yet - I couldn't seem to find any other players...

Very under-rated IMO.

Sorry for the short response.

I haven't got too far yet, the Motorbikes are interesting, you get knocked off every 5 seconds.
Anyone tryed online? Graphics and gameplay are really good though.

I tried online, but being Xmas, no one seemed to be online.

I like the dirt buggies the best.

Am just trying to get the next ranking.

I like how you can come back from 11th to 1st in one lap - as a mind emptying addrenaline rush it's awesome.

Most fun I've had since Mario Kart on the SNES! (Racing game wise)

Makes you realise how dull GT5 is without damage. 150mph, hit the back of a car <thud> - the ultimate driving simulator my arse!

My only annoyance is that there is no replay function or flashback like you get on Grid...

I got Motorstorm Pacific Rift a few weeks back and managed to complete 100% after a LOT of effort. Loved the game, but in the latter stages found the AI very annoying and unrealistic - i.e. when racing as the only Monster Truck amoung Motorbikes, you could run them over without killing them, but when you're the only motorbike amoungst all Monster Trucks, you hardly get 2 feet without being squashed.

Online you can only join a random ranked game - if you want PH only game, you will have to become friends and create a custom game with invites only.

Liked the time trials, but these were ultimately the hardest to get Gold status on.

Never did get the big Tonka truck which was a disappointment...

I had the original Motorstorm and played it tonnes online, kind of gave up after I achieved 'God' status and had completed ofline mode. Might get the new one at some point, but not for a while.

I seem to do quite well on line. Top 3 most of the time. I think its a great game. All bikes and ATVs would be a great race.

I got this for xmas too and I'm still working my way through it. Excellent game though - at least as good as the first one if not better. The tracks are gorgeous to look at and the racing nice and frantic.

Will try online once I've got a better knowledge of all the tracks.
